While combing through the vinyl section, I spotted some purple velvet upon a shelf and made a beeline for it. Jimi! I'll never forget being backstage at Cali Roots Fest (the site of the famous Monterey Pop Festival) and thinking, Oh my god, this is where Jimi Hendrix lit his guitar on fire.
Originally released in 2000, this was the first ever comprehensive Jimi Hendrix box set. Rolling Stone described it then as "the Rolls Royce of posthumous collections." The insert booklet contains the lyrics of every song, along with the backstory of each song's creation!
Note: While this box set is in great condition, it is actually missing Disc 3. Instead, it contains two copies of Disc 1, plus Disc 2 and Disc 4.
